C. is a leading cardiology practice dedicated to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care across multiple locations. Our team of highly trained specialists utilizes advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques to deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a compassionate environment. Job Overview We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine practice. The ideal candidate will be friendly, dependable, professional, and have excellent communication skills. Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task efficiently, and maintain a positive, team-focused attitude.
Responsibilities include:
  • Rooming patients in a timely manner (vitals, chief complaint, and questionnaires)
  • Discharging patients and entering referrals when needed
  • Performing EKGs
  • Assisting with record requests and patient calls
  • Performing ear washes
  • Obtaining prior authorizations (experience preferred)
  • Administering injections such as Toradol as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assistant certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
  • Prior experience in internal medicine or primary care preferred Minimum of Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills required. Minimum of 40 words per minute required.
  • Proficient with Electronic Health Records systems
  • Knowledge of basic CLIA-waived labs, vitals, and medication administration
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Reports To:
Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Office Manager Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Pay:
$17.00
