The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position requires proficiency in medical scheduling and administrative tasks, making it essential for candidates to have experience in a medical office setting. Duties Manage daily office operations, including answering phones and greeting patients. Schedule patient appointments and sleep studies Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow. Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Assist with medical coding and billing processes: claims, denials, collections, post payments, manage A/R Insurance verification Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly. Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and office efficiency Obtain previous sleep studies, machine downloads Send prescriptions to DME Assist in sleep bedroom maintenance including: rotating laundry, removing/ replacing bed sheets, assisting in sanitizing rooms Qualifications Previous experience in a hospital or medical office setting is required. Previous experience in a sleep clinic / lab is preferred. Proficiency in medical scheduling software and familiarity with medical coding practices. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Fluency in Epic EMR is preferred Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
