Work today, get paid today! The pay range for this position is $17.14- $28.34 based on direct and relevant experience. RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Provider with daily functions of the Clinic and provide general administrative support to the department. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday various 8-hour shifts between 7:30am-5:00pm at our Blaine, Woodbury and Burnsville centers; traveling to other locations throughout the metro as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(50%) Patient Care Greets patients and escorts patient to exam room Takes and records patient vitals and temperature Assist technologist or provider in the room as needed Enters patient past medical information and orders into RIS, find previous medical records and schedule appointments with follow up clinic Communicates directly with supervisor regarding patient medications and possible contra-indications Starts IVs Assists with oral sedation (45%) Administrative Support Monitor the Clinic's patient schedule and assist with managing add on appointments as well as follow up appointments Facilitate patient flow, with direction from supervisor Discharge the patient from the Clinic with appropriate information and documentation Call or faxes in patient prescriptions to pharmacy Proactively follow-up, via telephone calls, with patients that had pain management or narcotics to see if additional treatment and/or a follow up visit is needed Document all patient prep calls in RISLogic or aRies Assemble next day's H&P paperwork daily at assigned location Handle all incoming calls from patients regarding past procedures or treatments, with the guidance of the supervisor Coordinate patient flow with scheduling and the front office to fit in schedule add-ons Maintain office supplies within department and stockroom Assist with cleaning exam rooms Proactively provide daily updates to supervisor regarding individual work schedule and completion of the day's tasks (5%) Other Duties and Projects as
Assigned Required:
High School Diploma, or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite applications; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc. Ability to travel between assigned Centers, a reliable means of transportation is required Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance is required for the team member to personally drive a vehicle for company business (regardless of whether it's a company or personal vehicle)
