We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and professional Medical Assistant to join our team. We currently have 1 full-time position available. Job Summary The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our providers and ensuring patients receive efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. As a key member of the clinical team, the Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing patients for evaluation, assisting providers with clinical procedures, performing diagnostic testing, and helping maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent patient care skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Greet patients professionally and prepare them for examination and treatment Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and reason for visit Room patients and assist with maintaining efficient patient flow Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed Perform clinical testing and specimen collection as ordered, within training and scope of practice Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system Prepare, clean, and stock examination and procedure rooms Clean and disinfect medical equipment and patient care areas according to established protocols Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory of medical and clinical supplies Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and families Collaborate with providers, registration staff, and other team members to support seamless patient care Follow established clinical policies, procedures, infection-control practices, and safety standards Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical healthcare role preferred Medical Assistant certification or completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred Knowledge of medical terminology Excellent patient care, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care environment Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care needs Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality Professional appearance and demeanor Dependable and punctual Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team High school diploma or equivalent Position Details 1
