Job Description

Position Summary:
We are a growing, independent interventional pain practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role requires an organized professional who can manage both front-office administrative duties and hands-on clinical support. You will work directly with our physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Triage & Vitals:
Interview patients, obtain accurate pain scales, measure vital signs, and document comprehensive health and medication histories in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Procedure Assistance:
Prepare and stock examination and procedure rooms. Assist the physician during minor in-office procedures and injections (e.g., set up sterile trays, monitor patient comfort).
Patient Education & Prep:
Provide patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions, as outlined by the provider.
Administrative Support:
Coordinate patient scheduling, assist with medication reconciliation, manage clinic inventory, and triage incoming phone calls from patients and pharmacies.
Compliance & Safety:
Strictly adhere to OSHA, infection control, and HIPAA privacy guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Certification:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred but not required.
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, or specialty practice. Prior pain management, orthopedic, or surgical assisting experience is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, empathy for patients dealing with chronic pain, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
