Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support in outpatient and inpatient settings, assisting physicians and healthcare professionals with clinical and administrative tasks. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and a welcoming environment for all patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across diverse medical specialties, including dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and hospital medicine, while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment plans Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, wound care, X-ray preparation, and basic life support procedures Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring precise documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding, and treatment notes Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently Conduct routine clinical tasks such as specimen collection, vital signs monitoring, and assisting with outpatient procedures or inpatient care activities Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering reassurance, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit Experience Prior experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital settings is highly preferred Hands-on experience with EHR systems (Electronic Health Records management) such as EMR/EHR platforms is essential Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medication administration techniques is required Experience supporting dermatology clinics or emergency departments (including Level I or Level II trauma centers) is advantageous Inpatient experience in hospital medicine or ICU settings (such as PICU or Geriatrics units) enhances your candidacy Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy and X-ray procedures accurately and efficiently Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is strongly recommended Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient care through professionalism, compassion, and technical excellence. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
