As a Medical Assistant at KidMed Pediatric Urgent Care, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, delivering high-quality care to children in our community. You will work alongside providers and healthcare professionals who share your passion for pediatric medicine and commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities:

Assist providers and nurses with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. Take and record vital signs, perform basic laboratory tests, and assist with diagnostic procedures. Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits. Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records (EHR) for each patient encounter. Provide clear instructions to patients and caregivers regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care. Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and processing patient paperwork. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution. Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with clinical procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and their families. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
