Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. This energetic position offers the opportunity to support physicians and healthcare professionals by providing comprehensive clinical and administrative assistance. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate patient documentation, and high-quality care delivery in outpatient, inpatient, and specialized environments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all supplies are stocked for efficient patient visits Support physicians during procedures by handing instruments, applying dressings, or administering medications under supervision Conduct basic diagnostic tasks such as taking X-rays or performing simple laboratory tests when trained and certified Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and coordinate referrals within various specialties including geriatrics, internal medicine, or dermatology Document clinical notes accurately using medical terminology and ICD coding to ensure precise billing and recordkeeping Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures clearly, and demonstrating compassionate care Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support accurate patient assessment and documentation Experience working in hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or emergency departments Proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding for billing purposes Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, medication administration, X-ray procedures, and basic life support (BLS) certification Previous clinic experience in outpatient or inpatient settings across specialties like medical-surgical units or internal medicine is highly desirable Excellent patient service skills with a friendly demeanor and clear communication abilities Knowledge of hospital protocols related to urgent care or emergency medicine environments This position offers a rewarding career path where your skills directly contribute to improved patient outcomes.
