Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals in outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and specialized departments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and internal medicine. As a key member of the medical team, you will support clinical operations, ensure accurate documentation, and enhance patient experiences through compassionate service and efficient workflows. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in outpatient clinics, hospital units, or specialty departments like dermatology or geriatrics. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration under supervision, and basic life support (BLS) when necessary. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment plans. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, processing referrals, and maintaining medical records with meticulous attention to detail. Assist in outpatient medicine settings by supporting patient care activities and documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in urgent care or emergency medicine environments to provide swift patient service and facilitate smooth clinic operations. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office support or clinical assisting within outpatient clinics or hospital settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or X-ray tech are advantageous. Familiarity with specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine enhances your candidacy. Ability to perform clinical procedures such as medication administration, phlebotomy, vital signs collection, and basic X-ray assistance confidently. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients in PICU or outpatient settings.
