About Us We are a small, patient-focused internal medicine clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients, with a strong emphasis on serving underserved and lower-income populations. Our team is committed to improving access to care and building long-term relationships with our patients. Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our provider in delivering efficient, patient-centered care. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with diverse patient populations, including those facing financial and social barriers to healthcare. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and documenting symptoms accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation to monitor patient health status. Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound care, specimen collection, and basic life support (BLS) protocols. Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging supplies, and ensuring a clean environment for patient visits. Assist provider during examinations and procedures. Document medical information using precise medical terminology and ICD coding to ensure accurate billing and record-keeping. Coordinate patient flow by scheduling appointments, managing follow-up visits, and facilitating communication between departments in outpatient or inpatient settings. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification required 1+ year of experience in a clinical setting (internal medicine preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience working with diverse or underserved populations is highly valued Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
