Carolina Mountain Dermatology is looking for a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team in Arden, NC. We provide comprehensive skin and aesthetic wellness services, including medical dermatology, skin cancer care, and cosmetic treatments. What You'll Do As a Dermatology Medical Assistant, you will work closely with our providers and play an essential role in delivering excellent patient care while keeping the practice running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories Assisting providers during examinations and procedures Preparing instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms Conducting basic laboratory tests and handling specimens for analysis Maintaining accurate, confidential patient records Coordinating patient scheduling and office communications Educating patients about treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare Keeping examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked Join Our Team The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, attentive to detail, and genuinely committed to helping patients. Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable. Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.
