JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Provider Support Assistant to perform administrative responsibilities in support of one or more physician(s) and/or advanced provider(s).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs various appointment and access-related duties to include, but not limited to, scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, general appointment information, and directions. Utilizes multiple technology applications and systems to perform scheduling tasks such as Maestro Care (Epic). Coordinate services across multiple Duke Health locations, departments and providers. Professionally and effectively, communicate verbally and in writing with patients, referring providers, colleagues, and Duke Providers. Review providers templates in EPIC vs QGenda for to ensure they match and are correct Review providers schedules to ensure patients are scheduled correctly and make adjustments where needed Make sure appt times are coordinated correctly if patient has multiple appts Manage patient in-take process -- Compile information and produce new patient folders. Manage Med-Peds resident template development, schedule audit, etc. Answer telephone, take and deliver messages to physicians, nurses and others. Report obtained medical information from patients and referring physicians accurately, completely and timely. Disseminate messages according to practice communication standards. Perform clerical and typing tasks involved in processing varied office materials such as form letters, requisitions, memoranda, and reports or summaries. Send and collect referrals, patient records, and other documentation as requested by provider(s). Complete reimbursements for providers in Concur. Submit supply orders in Buy@Duke. Handle calendar for student learners. Assist with scheduling conf rooms and meetings
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent education required. One year of clerical, office support, or related experience is required; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
JOB HOURS
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
