Job Type:
Full-time Clinical Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaint. Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures. Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, injections, immunizations, EKGs, ear irrigations, and other procedures within scope. Maintain exam rooms and equipment. Document accurately in the EMR. Provide patient education as directed. Process prescription refill requests per protocol. Communicate results as directed. Follow OSHA and infection prevention standards.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Answer and return patient calls. Schedule and confirm appointments. Verify demographics and insurance. Process referrals and diagnostic orders. Manage faxes and portal messages. Maintain inventory. Support front office as needed.
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
