Job Description

General Summary :
A non-exempt position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the assigned providers' clinic, Monday through Friday. Primary oversight is for the northern clinics (Cornelius, Mooresville, Huntersville, and Concord), with the ability to travel to all CAAC clinics is required.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Must have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of the CAAC clinical policies and procedures and demonstrate proficiency, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional patient and provider interaction in the clinical setting. 2. Will conduct a review of the patient schedule for the day either the day before, or prior to clinic beginning, and will discuss with the physician and colleagues any specific questions, instructions, and assignments known, prior to the patient's arrival. 3. Perform a brief, but thorough assessment of the patient during intake utilizing the workflows as trained for New, Established, Skin, Medication, Venom testing, etc., and briefly but succinctly communicating key information to the physician prior to them entering the room, to provide for a thorough and efficient visit. 4. Responsible for managing the clinical triage for their provider. This includes completion of Rx, forms, prior authorizations, lab results, communication with referring physicians, and other communication on behalf of the physician as assigned. Responds to all task by end of business day, ensuring completion within a 48-hour period. 5. Responsible for ensuring the completion of and the initial interpretation of the prick skin test, Intradermal testing, PFT and FeNO tests, medication and venom testing following protocols and procedures. 6. Responsible for ensuring the patient has received, and viewed appropriate videos and resources, training materials, IVR, medical information request forms, and any other forms have been presented and signed as needed. 7. Responsible for ensuring that the Patient Plan is thoroughly reviewed with the patient, and/or family prior to the patient leaving the office, answering any questions that the patients may have prior to leaving the office. Ensure that the patient presents to checkout to confirm that all follow-up appointments are made as instructed by the physician. 8. May serve as preceptors for new CAAC team members, and as such must have demonstrated competency in the duties and responsibilities outlined above. 9. Coordinates and assists team members with cleaning, organizing, stocking, and putting supplies away, preparing the office to run efficiently. 10. Ensures safe and efficient patient care and compliance with practice parameters. 11. Comply with all quality assurance policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control. 12. Other duties as assigned.
Education :
RMA/CMA (AAMA)/CCMA/NCMA certification. Current BLS Certificate required.
Experience :
Minimum one year of clinical experience.
