Fora Dermatology is excited to offer a unique opportunity for individuals seeking to enhance their medical and dermatological experience before advancing to medical school or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant programs. We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to fulfill a Medical Assistant position within our dynamic team. This role is specially designed for those embarking on a ( 1 to 2 year) gap year, eager to obtain hands-on experience in both clinical and surgical dermatology, alongside working with our skilled Physicians, Physician Assistants.

The Role:
This position provides clinical, surgical and administrative support in an ambulatory care setting working with the physician and physician assistants. You will be involved in direct patient care which includes rooming and preparing patients for visits, scribing, prior authorizations, answering patient calls, stocking, inventory, participating in travel clinics and learning cosmetic dermatology. You will also assist the physician with in-office procedures and Mohs surgery.

Requirements:
A passion for healthcare and an interest in dermatology and surgery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or Medical Assistant Certification in healthcare preferred. Proficiency in technology and computer skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to express himself/herself in writing and orally with clarity and professionalism. Calm demeanor and the ability to demonstrate integrity and a fair approach to conflict resolution. Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills including the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience with medical scribing preferred
