Responsibilities Perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, administering medications, collecting specimens for laboratory testing, and assisting with minor procedures. Conduct patient intake assessments, update medical histories, and ensure accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support employee health initiatives by managing immunizations, screenings, and health evaluations in compliance with occupational health standards. Maintain detailed medical records, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Coordinate appointment scheduling, patient flow management, and administrative tasks to optimize clinic operations. Uphold infection control protocols and sanitation standards within the clinical environment to promote safety for patients and staff. Qualifications Applicants should have a current state certification as a certified or registered medical assistant and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Additional requirements include:
Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 90 days of hire.
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, required Previous medical office experience, preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.
CMA experience:
