In this vital role, you will provide hands-on support to healthcare providers, assist with patient intake and documentation, and ensure smooth operations within a fast-paced medical environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across various specialties, including dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient services. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately. Prepare exam rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy and medication administration. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring precise medical documentation and recordkeeping. Support medical office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing insurance forms, and maintaining medical records. Perform basic laboratory tasks like specimen collection and processing while adhering to safety protocols. Provide patient education on medications, procedures, or post-treatment care as directed by providers. Requirements Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity in medical terminology and documentation practices. Knowledge of dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or outpatient clinical environments is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required to ensure patient safety during emergencies. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and EMR/EHR systems to support accurate patient care documentation. Experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and medical assisting techniques. Ability to work efficiently in inpatient or outpatient settings with Level I or Level II trauma center exposure preferred. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics or specialized units like PICU or OR settings. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
