Job Title:
Medical Assistant Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical teams in delivering high-quality patient care. The Medical Assistant will serve as an integral member of the care team, assisting with both clinical and administrative responsibilities while ensuring a positive patient experience throughout the visit. Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Support + Welcome and room patients for appointments. + Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information. + Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and minor procedures. + Assist providers during patient visits and clinical procedures as needed. + Perform point-of-care testing and collect specimens according to established protocols. + Provide patients with instructions regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up appointments. + Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements. Administrative Support + Accurately document patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. + Coordinate appointment scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care. + Communicate with patients regarding appointment reminders, test results, and general inquiries. + Assist with insurance verification and other clerical tasks as needed. + Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. QualificationsRequired + High School Diploma or GED. + Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare training. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn EMR systems. + Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. + Commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portsmouth, NH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
