Job Description
US Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. If you enjoy working directly with patients, supporting physicians, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you! You'll work alongside our podiatrists providing hands-on patient care in a professional, fast-paced outpatient setting. Hands-on training and ongoing clinical training are provided, making this a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant or someone looking to grow their clinical skills.
Pay:
$20 - $22 per hour, based one experience Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA complianceRequired Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience CMA or RMA certification preferred Experience with medical terminology Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Benefits Offered:
