Title:
Podiatry Medical Assistant Job Summary:
The person in this position is part of a team concept in the office's health delivery system, which is devoted to the delivery of foot and ankle care. Assist the doctors and other staff members in performing their duties and carrying on the necessary functions required in accordance with established policies and procedures.Job Duties:
1. Assists in managing of the back office and patient flow 2. Greeting patients 3. Escorts patients to rooms, assisting them with shoes and socks, etc. 4. Obtaining and reviewing patient histories and chief complaints/Entering and updating patient information into the computer 5. Assists physicians with office procedures 6. Maintaining exam rooms for necessary supplies, materials and cleanliness 7. Sorting, organizing, storing supplies 8. Cleaning exam rooms, setting up instruments and equipment 9. Cleaning and sterilizing instruments 10. Creating towel packs and gauze dressing packs for minor procedures 11. Dispensing patient information; providing informational handouts and after care instructions 12. Dispensing convenience items, splints, braces, cast boots etc. to patients 13. Miscellaneous office dutiesSkills:
