In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and internal medicine. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic flow, accurate medical documentation, and compassionate patient interactions. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy and medication administration as needed. Support clinical staff with tasks such as specimen collection, basic life support (BLS), and managing emergency situations in urgent care or hospital settings. Document medical information thoroughly using EMR/EHR systems, ensuring compliance with medical records management standards. Perform routine clinical duties such as administering medications, taking vital signs, and assisting with anatomy and physiology assessments. Manage administrative responsibilities including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and maintaining organized medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse settings like inpatient units, emergency departments, or specialty clinics to deliver patient-centered care. Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting with exposure to dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or internal medicine preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and anatomy to support accurate documentation and effective patient communication. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential. Prior inpatient or emergency medicine experience at Level I Trauma Centers or PICU environments is highly desirable. Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current. Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as geriatrics, medical-surgical units, or Level I Trauma Centers enhances your ability to adapt quickly to different clinical demands.
