Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dermatology practice. The Medical Assistant will support our providers by delivering excellent patient care, preparing patients for exams and procedures, assisting with in-office treatments, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for providing an outstanding patient experience.
Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for dermatology visits, procedures, and treatments Obtain and document medical history, medications, allergies, and vital signs Assist providers with dermatologic procedures (biopsies, excisions, cosmetic treatments, etc.) Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies following infection control and sterilization protocols Educate patients on aftercare instructions, treatment regimens, and skincare routines as directed by providers Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling follow-ups, handling prior authorizations, and managing patient documentation in the EMR Support inventory management of medical and cosmetic supplies Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality at all times Provide exceptional service by addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred Previous experience in dermatology or a medical office setting strongly preferred Knowledge of dermatologic terminology, procedures, and skincare products is a plus Proficient with EMR systems and basic computer skills Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time position (Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays if needed) Competitive pay based on experience Benefits may include health insurance, PTO, employee discounts, and continuing education opportunities
