Job Description

Travel Medical Assistant Bring preventive care directly to patients who need it most. In this field-based Medical Assistant role, you'll visit patients in their homes across the Hackensack/Bergen County area, complete wellness-focused visits, and build meaningful relationships without the rushed pace of a traditional exam-room schedule. Opportunity This is a full-time travel Medical Assistant role focused on preventive, community-based care. You'll support seniors, families, and patients who benefit from receiving care at home, helping identify health concerns early and improve access to routine wellness services. You'll be on the road rather than stationed in a clinic, using modern EMR tools to document visits and support high-quality care delivery in the community. What You Will Own Travel to patients' homes for scheduled preventive-care visits Complete Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits Support patient intake, clinical information gathering, vitals, screenings, and visit documentation Help patients feel comfortable and supported during unrushed home-based visits Document visit details accurately using EMR tools Work independently in the field while staying aligned with care-team expectations Support seniors and families by bringing quality healthcare directly into the home What Makes You a Strong Fit 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience Medical Assistant credential, certification, diploma, or equivalent qualification Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience Comfort working independently in a travel-based, field-facing role Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license Ability to travel daily to patient homes in New Jersey Openness to travel throughout New Jersey and nearby states as coverage needs require Nice-to-Haves Experience conducting Annual Wellness Visits Experience conducting Well-Child Visits Prior home visit, mobile care, field-based care, or community health experience Experience supporting preventive care, geriatrics, pediatrics, or primary care workflows EMR documentation experience in a clinical setting Schedule, Location, and Travel Full-time schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Field-based travel role starting in the Hackensack/Bergen County, NJ area Travel may extend throughout New Jersey based on patient needs Occasional nearby-state travel may be required based on coverage needs Compensation The expected total compensation range is USD 31 Hourly.
