Job Description
We are looking for a medical assistant in an ambulatory surgery setting for a 1 OR specializing in orthopedics, pain management, and podiatry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in pre-operative patient preparation, including escorting patients from the waiting room to the changing area, documenting vital signs, and assisting the pre-op RN with patient care. Assist the OR team with turning over the room after surgical cases are completed. Assist with restocking and checking expiration dates on supplies. Follow strict infection control protocols and assist with safety and risk management Assist in quality assurance activities, patient safety initiatives, and compliance with AAAHC.
