Job Description
Position Summary Enlyv Clinics is seeking a reliable and patient-focused Front Desk & Medical Assistant (MA) to support both administrative and clinical operations of our outpatient medical practice in Piscataway, NJ. This hybrid role requires flexibility to manage front desk responsibilities as well as assist providers in delivering high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Front Desk Duties Greet and check-in patients in a professional and courteous manner Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling Handle patient phone calls, inquiries, and messages Verify insurance eligibility and collect required patient information Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation in the EMR system Coordinate patient flow and assist with daily office operations Medical Assistant Duties Room patients and obtain vital signs (BP, weight, height, etc.) Document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Experience with ECW preferred. Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures Prepare exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper stocking of supplies Assist with lab work, specimen collection, and basic clinical tasks Support medication refills, prior authorizations, and patient follow-ups as directed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Certified Medical Assistant (preferred but not mandatory depending on experience) Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Familiarity with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred) is a plus Key Skills & Attributes Patient-centered attitude and professionalism Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Flexibility to handle both administrative and clinical responsibilities Work Environment Outpatient endocrinology practice Multiple clinic locations Fast-paced, team-oriented clinical setting Preferred Skills Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience verifying insurance eligibility and benefits. Experience with prior authorizations and referrals
