Job Overview :
Certified Medical Assistant for Gynecology/Oncology practice provides clinical and administrative support to physicians to ensure efficient patient care and smooth office operations. This role involves direct patient interaction, medical record management, and assisting with in-office medical procedures.
Qualifications :
Required :
High School Diploma or GED At least 6 months of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred :
Phlebotomy and EKG Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) system,
Epic Certifications and Licenses Required :
BLS Certification approved by the
American Heart Association Medical Assistant Certification:
AAMA, AECA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NCMA, or NHA Scheduling Requirements :
Monday & Wednesday:
1:00pm - 9:00pm
Tuesday & Thursday:
Daytime hours Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm Hours subject to change depending on department needs
Full-Time Essential Functions :
Record the patient's medical history and vital signs Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures Administer medication (injections) as directed Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens Sterilize medical instruments and maintain exam rooms Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries Process prescription refills as directed Other duties as assigned Other Things to
