Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations across various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized departments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. Your expertise will help ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and efficient clinical processes. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting chief complaints Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort Support clinical procedures by administering medications under supervision, performing basic X-ray imaging, and assisting with minor surgical procedures in outpatient or hospital settings Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to accurately document patient encounters, diagnoses (using ICD coding), and treatment plans Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to support diagnosis and treatment strategies Manage medical supplies and ensure proper sterilization of equipment for safe use in various departments including OR, PICU, or Geriatrics units Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program is required Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency departments—preferably with Level I or Level II trauma center exposure Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration protocols Familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses Experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling and patient intake processes Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and efficiently in inpatient or outpatient settings Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures including Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential Prior experience working in dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or medical-surgical units is highly desirable Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including Geriatrics and PICU patients Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patient care while advancing your career in a vibrant healthcare environment.
