Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in various medical specialties, including Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Dermatology, and Inpatient care at a Level I Trauma Center is highly desirable. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Record vital signs and patient histories accurately. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and calming anxieties. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Collaborate with nursing staff in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as needed. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Skills Proficient in using electronic health record systems for documentation. Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and practices. Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately. Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including geriatrics. Familiarity with dermatological procedures and treatments is a plus. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
