We are a busy, well established, private pediatric practice seeking to hire a part time or full time experienced medical assistant for our Westfield, NJ office. We are a physician-owned practice with low physician turnover and are looking for someone dependable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Experience in a medical office is preferred. Competitive salary and benefits offered. This position is best suited for a candidate who: Enjoys working directly with children and families Works well independently and as part of a team Is reliable and punctual Can maintain efficiency and professionalism during busy clinic sessions Is looking for a stable long-term position Our medical assistants are responsible for: Getting patients ready for the provider Measuring heights, weights and head circumferences of babies, children and teens on non-digital scale, taking manual vital signs (blood pressure, pulse and respiratory rate). Ability to take manual blood pressure is required! Drawing up immunizations Assisting physicians during visits and procedures Point-of-care strep, flu and COVID testing EMR documentation Managing clinical workflow and patient communication Clerical duties include: Completing health forms Validating insurance Scheduling appointments Checking in patients

Requirements:

Prior medical assistant experience preferred Pediatric or outpatient office experience strongly preferred Strong communication and organizational skills EMR experience preferred Position is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5 pm.
