Job Description

Who Is Porch Light Health? Porch Light Health is a local leader in outpatient treatment of Opioid Use Disorders and other addictive disorders. Our staff is passionate about helping other people. We offer Medication Assisted Treatment and behavioral health services. We believe there is life beyond addiction and strive to help our patients discover their purpose and community in a healthy environment. We are looking for people who are willing to work in a fast paced medical environment. Porch Light Health is seeking a certified medical assistant that wants to be on the forefront of Addiction Medicine Treatment. This job is a unique opportunity for the right candidate. It involves cross training of medical and administrative duties including monitoring patients, being a liaison to the clinic medical team, and working closely with the administrative department. If you are passionate about the field of addiction medicine, flexible, have phlebotomy capacity, and willing to work in a very fast paced and changing environment, this job is for you.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Booking and Rescheduling patients Managing prior authorizations and patient communication Patient Vitals Injections Work as an insurance liaison Communicate with providers on a respectful and professional level Administrative work Managing and operating clinic including but not limited to cleaning, managing paperwork and data Opening and closing facility Guiding patients through new paperwork and contracts and medical protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Be willing to understand and navigate multiple patient medical record platforms Certified Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certificate Reliable transportation Proper time management
Reliable and Dependable Job Type:
Full-time, Espanola T-F 8:00am•4:30pm, Taos Clinic Coverage as needed on Mondays 8:00 am•4:30 pm 32-40 hours per week

Education :
MA or Phlebotomy Certification (Required)
Experience :
EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred) Anticipated Application Window•This role is anticipated to close within 30 days from the date of posting. However, if the position has not been filled, PLH may keep the application period open longer.
