Job Description
Come Join Our Team! La Casa Family Health Center is accepting applications for a full-time Medical Assistant to work at our Portales clinic. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care to clinic patients. Job duties include preparing the patient for the visit, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, maintaining efficient patient flow, providing support for clerical functions which consist of scheduling, referrals, authorization and in-basket support with the electronic health record. Previous medical assistant experience in a primary health care setting and working knowledge of Epic EHR helpful. Bi-lingual and CMA or CCMA certification preferred. Must be able to work as a team player and maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers and the public. Great benefit package offered.
