Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing medical assistant procedures after completion of competency within organizations MA scope of work, under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy.
• Assists with procedures as determined by provider
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
• Basic foot care
• May perform regulatory audits as designated by the Clinic Manger
• Assists with visit closure
• Participates with care team to meet patient care and clinic needs, working cooperatively with others to accomplish required work in a timely and efficient manner
• May perform scribe duties after completing PMG scribe training
• Performs other duties as directed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant II candidates must possess six (6) months of MA experience or have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program. Previous healthcare experience preferred. Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 12 months of hire. Current BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required. Ability to maintain required certifications and complete all organizational, departmental, and position-specific competency requirements within designated timeframes.
