This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a specialized clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both clinical and administrative duties, while also having experience supporting endocrinology patients with diabetes-related technology and care. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting, is comfortable multitasking, and enjoys being a key part of a close-knit, patient-focused healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Prepare patients for exams by recording vital signs , taking medical histories , and reviewing current medications. Download data from insulin pumps, CGMs, and glucometers , and ensure the data is accurately uploaded to the EHR. Retrieve lab results from online portals and prepare them for provider review. Assist providers during endocrine procedures and patient consultations. Administer injections and assist with medication education and follow-up care instructions. Administrative Utilize eClinicalWorks (eCW) to manage patient records, input clinical data, and maintain accurate documentation. Process referrals, obtain prior authorizations, and communicate with insurance companies as required. Order and manage medical supplies and ensure all exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards. Patient Relations Greet patients with a warm, professional attitude and assist with any concerns. Educate patients about endocrinology-related procedures, devices (like pumps), and follow-up care. Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, facilitating strong communication and a positive patient experience.
