Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals in a variety of medical settings. Your role will involve assisting with patient care, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth operations within the medical facility. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care, including taking vital signs, documenting patient history, and preparing examination rooms. Conduct initial patient screenings, including gathering medical history and verifying patient information. Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care as directed by healthcare providers. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMR) system. Provide patient education on various health topics, medications, and treatment plans as instructed by healthcare providers. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies as needed. Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to optimize patient care delivery.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred. Able to work Monday, Tuesdays & Thursdays. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. Prior experience working in a medical office or urgent care setting is strongly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic anatomy. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
