The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical administrative support, patient care, and clinical procedures within outpatient and inpatient settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient service in a fast-paced medical environment, supporting physicians and healthcare professionals across various specialties including dermatology, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and more. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and physiology. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and facilitate smooth patient intake processes. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and current medications accurately within EHR systems. Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as X-ray administration, medication administration, and basic life support when necessary. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards across outpatient and inpatient settings. Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-up communications, and administrative documentation efficiently. Support physicians with ICD coding, documentation of diagnoses, and updating patient records for billing purposes. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries professionally while maintaining confidentiality and compassion. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various departments including Geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), and Level I/II trauma centers to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or Receptionist in clinical environments such as outpatient clinics or hospital settings. Knowledge of dermatology, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or medical-surgical practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with EHR systems, ICD coding, vital signs measurement, and medical terminology. Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medication administration protocols. Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers or specialized units like PICU is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally. Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
