Job Description

An ambulatory care practice is seeking a Medical Assistant in Bethpage, NY to support both clinical and administrative patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients and care teams while contributing to efficient daily operations and high-quality service.  About the

8:00 AM-5:00 PM; occasional late evenings until 8:00
PM Setting:
Clinic Responsibilities:
Greet patients and guests, manage patient flow, and communicate wait times Support check-in, check-out, registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification Answer phones, take messages, and route communications appropriately Assist with direct patient care, including vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen handling, and procedure support Document patient information in the EMR, scan records, and help maintain clean, stocked exam rooms
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or eligibility to sit for the national certification exam and pass within 18 months of hire At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting Experience using an Electronic Medical Record system
Desired Skills:
EPIC experience Associate degree 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting
