Job Description

The Eye Care Center is one of the most comprehensive eye care facilities in the Finger Lakes Region, with offices in Canandaigua, Macedon, and Geneva. We're proud to offer a full range of advanced eye care and cosmetic services, typically found only in big cities, right here in our local communities. We are seeking an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team, full time. In this role, you'll be at the heart of patient care, assisting our physicians with a variety of clinical tasks, from preparing patients for exams and taking medical histories to performing eye measurements, refractometry, diagnostic testing, and vision assessments. Flexibility to travel between offices (Geneva and Macedon) may be required on occasion. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care Excellent critical thinking and communication skills Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment Computer proficiency; experience with EHR/EMR. Medent experience a plus. Previous training or experience in medical or ophthalmic setting preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required Become part of a collaborative team of professionals.
