  • Full-time As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of a busy Primary Care office.
You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. This position is Monday
  • Friday generally during business hours.
This position will require some days to work with the primary care doctors in our Hicksville, Plainview, or Manhasset locations. The ability to report to these locations is a must. Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history Update and file medical records and insurance reports Check with patients and type up patients charts Assist during medical examinations Perform phlebotomy, ABI tests, and check vitals. Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Call insurances for prior authorizations of procedures Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant. Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Strong organizational and planning skills EKGs and phebotomy are a must.
