Job Description
EDUCATION
Minimum:
- High School Degree or equivalent
Preferred:
- Graduate from an accredited school for Medical Assistant.
LICENSE:
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
Preferred:
- Certification obtained from a Medical Assistant School licensed by
New York State Minimum:
- BLS required through
RQI WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum:
- Prior experience in a physician office or other medical setting, or completion of accredited school for Medical Assistants
- Must demonstrate assessment skills for both adults and children.
- Working knowledge of emergency intervention and available resources.
SKILLS:
Minimum:
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
- Excellentinterpersonal, communication and organization skills.
- Computer literacy.
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record.
