We have an immediate opening for a Medical Receptionist / Certified Medical Assistant at our Massapequa Park location. The ideal candidate must have two years of Medical Receptionist / Certified Medical Assistant experience and exceptional customer service skills. Medical experience is a plus. Candidate must be flexible to work some evenings and weekends and cover another site close by. Our ideal candidate must be certified and have a minimum of 1 year experience plus experience in phlebotomy. Candidate must have good computer knowledge, great organizational skills, have a positive attitude and be a team player.
Responsibilities include:
Providing direct patient care, including triage, vital signs, blood draws and history. EKG/Spirometry/Audiometry knowledgeable. Filing and scanning of medical charts. Assist with office clerical job responsibilities. Greeting patients, answer phone and manage the front desk. Provide efficient and professional telephone service. Register patients accurately. Schedule appointments and tests for patients. Collect and post fees according to protocols. Prepare and balance daily financial register. Maintain forms and office supplies. Printing and scanning of patient charts Inform medical staff of any urgent patient needs. Assist the medical staff with any clerical needs. In addition, candidate must have the following experience and skills: Computer knowledge Great communication skills Great organizational skills Good multitasking skills Positive attitude and be a team player Salary will commensurate with experience. We are open 7 days a week. Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends. Must have BLS Certification. Must be a Nationally Certified CMA/RMA. Completion of NYS accredited Medical Assistant Program required. One of the following certifications is required to be current or obtained within 90 days of employment and to be actively maintained while employed: CCMA

- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists) NCMA

- Nationally Registered Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals) .
