Responsibilities The Medical Assistant performs a key role in assisting healthcare providers with the examination and care of patients. They are trained to perform both administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of a health care provider. Qualifications Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

2 years medical assistant experience within the last 5 years, or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program within the last 5 years. Doctor's office or other practice experience preferred.

Required Certification/Registration:

Current BLS certification Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Work requires considerable variety of fairly steady active physical exertion with some and/or continuous standing or walking. Work requires moderate speed and accuracy, excellent keyboarding skills for scheduling and electronic medical records.
