(AMP), supporting ColumbiaDoctors , is currently seeking enthusiastic and professional Certified Medical Assistants to join our growing team. AMP is a Management Services Organization (MSO) that provides clinical and administrative support to ColumbiaDoctors , one of the largest and most respected multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. Our providers specialize in Cardiology, Vascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Obesity, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day operations of a high-volume, multi-specialty practice and laboratory, while providing safe and compassionate care to adult patients. Facilitate smooth patient flow and care coordination across all specialties. Provide efficient intake and rooming assistance to patients, by verifying medical and medication history, including wellness and care management screenings, and confirming visit purpose. Perform point of care testing according to practice protocols and assigned specialty. Collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Assist physicians with patient assessments and exams, as needed. Monitor clinical supply; stock and facilitate ordering and participate in ensuring compliance of emergency and clinical equipment. Collaborate with clinical manager for quality improvement initiatives and the development of clinical protocol.
Required Experience/Skills:
Strong phlebotomy skills Self-motivated, flexible and ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Effective communication skills, ability to multi-task and good attention to detail
Preferred Experience/Skills:
1-year Medical Assistant experience EPIC experience Experience with specialty-specific workflows and working knowledge of referral processes, prior authorizations, and insurance requirements Outpatient Cardiology experience
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent (Required) CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) Certification from a Nationally Accredited Association (NHA) (Required) BLS Certification (Required)
Work Location :
On-site, Travel to other practice locations as needed.
