Job Description

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a leading healthcare organization in Croton-on-the-Hudson, NY. The Medical Assistant will provide direct patient care support, assist physicians and other clinical providers with examinations and procedures, perform authorized clinical tasks, and ensure patients receive efficient, compassionate care. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented Medical Assistant who is comfortable working in a busy outpatient practice and collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Employment Type:
Contract-to-Hire Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM-5:30 PM; rotating
Saturdays Pay:
$ 24.30/hour
Work Setting:
Onsite Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care within established scope of practice and departmental policies, standards, and protocols.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic testing, and treatments.
  • Escort patients to examination rooms and help ensure an efficient patient flow.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, perform vision screenings, and conduct selected laboratory tests as directed.
  • Proactively identify and communicate patient and family needs to the appropriate clinical team.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while maintaining patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
  • Seek guidance or clarification from physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurses when appropriate.
  • Prepare e-prescriptions for processing to pharmacies as instructed by physicians and in accordance with company policies.
  • Inspect, clean, prepare, and process instruments and equipment according to manufacturer and department guidelines.
  • Process patient specimens for laboratory transport, ensuring proper labeling and that appropriate orders are entered into the NextGen system.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established safety, infection-control, and patient-care procedures.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced clinical environment. Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • At least 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant entry-level work experience preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and other members of the healthcare team.

Pay Details:
