Company Overview We are a well-established dermatology practice with over three decades of expertise in dermatologic and cosmetic procedures. Our dedicated team is committed to providing high-quality skin care solutions and exceptional patient service in a professional environment. Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant to support our clinical team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of dermatology practices, medical procedures, and patient care. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient health and well-being while working in a dynamic outpatient setting. Responsibilities Assist dermatologists with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring smooth clinical operations. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage supplies to maintain a clean and organized environment. Take accurate patient histories, document symptoms, and record vital signs using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Provide patient education on skin conditions, treatment plans, and post-procedure care with clear communication. Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, ICD coding for diagnoses, and managing patient intake forms. Administer medications or injections as directed by physicians, adhering to safety protocols and medication administration guidelines. Assist with minor dermatologic procedures, including biopsies or laser treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in dermatology or related outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of dermatology terminology, physiology, and skin anatomy. Familiarity with EHR systems, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in medical-surgical or emergency medicine are advantageous. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations. Experience supporting procedures such as X-ray imaging or minor surgical interventions is preferred. Knowledge of hospital medicine practices, inpatient/outpatient care workflows, and clinic experience is highly desirable.
