The job includes routine clinical assistance to our three board certified dermatologists with all medical and cosmetic procedures, triage of patients, and light administrative assignments. Our ideal candidate must be able to multitask, prioritize, and work well in a fast-paced environment. A high degree of organization is required and your commitment to quality care and regulatory compliance is essential. Previous experience in Dermatology or Plastic Surgery is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Report to physicians and practice administrator Assist doctors in exam rooms with medical treatment, biopsies, excisions, laser surgery and cosmetic procedures. Give post procedural instructions to patients as instructed by physicians. ePrescribe Charting and documentation Ensure all related reports, labs and information is available in patients' medical records prior to their visit. Keep exam rooms stocked Cleaning and sterilization of instruments Phone messages Take phone calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies. All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE IN DERMATOLOLGY OR PLASTIC SURGERY

•REQUIRED

MUST BE PROFICIENT IN PHLEMBOTOMY / VEINPUNCTURE

•REQUIRED Experience with EZDerm software•preferred Medical terminology Excellent written and verbal communication Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

Minimum One year medical assistant experience High School diploma or GED equivalent required Medical assistant certification required
