Our client is currently seeking a
Medical Assistant Location:
Poughkeepsie, NYSchedule:
Monday - Friday, Between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM (8-hour shift) Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a busy pediatric clinic. The CMA will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting providers, preparing patients for examinations, documenting patient information, and ensuring smooth daily clinic operations. Key Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for provider examinations. Obtain and accurately document vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, and pulse. Collect and record patient medical histories and relevant health information. Document clinical information in Epic EMR accurately and timely. Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures as needed. Coordinate patient flow to maintain efficient clinic operations. Prepare exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and ensure rooms are stocked with necessary supplies. Administer patient screening questionnaires and update medical records. Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and clinical staff. Support daily administrative and clinical functions within the pediatric practice. Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and infection control standards. Required Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification required. Ability to take and document vital signs accurately. Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Basic computer proficiency and electronic medical record documentation experience.
