Full Time Medical Assistant - MANDARIN SPEAKING

Position Overview:

SINY Dermatology, a leading dermatology practice in the New York City area, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients, offering a wide range of dermatological services, from cosmetic procedures to the treatment of skin diseases. This position requires a minimum of three years of experience in a medical setting, preferably with a focus on dermatology. The ideal candidate will be committed to patient care, highly organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist dermatologists during patient examinations and minor surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety. Perform clinical tasks including taking patient histories, sending prescriptions, obtaining necessary consents, and explaining treatment procedures. Operate and maintain/clean medical equipment as necessary. Collect and log biopsies and lab tests for collection. Manage patient flow to ensure that each patient has a timely and efficient visit. Maintain medical records, clean and stock exam rooms throughout the day, and handle various administrative tasks as needed. Provide patients with instructions on medications and pre- or post-operative care. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

MUST BE FLUENT IN BOTH MANDARIN AND ENGLISH

( Required ). Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program ( Preferred ). A minimum of three years of experience in a medical assistant role, with a preference for candidates with dermatology experience ( Required ). Proficient in medical software ( Required ) with preference for those having used ModMed EMA. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnosis related to dermatology. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
