Job Description

Job Overview We are a small one provider new primary care walk in clinic. The medical Assistant will vital signs collection, and assisting healthcare providers with procedures. Your proactive approach with friendly, professional and compassionate attitude will help create a welcoming environment for every patient. This position requires in-office collaboration; therefore, candidates who live within a reasonable commuting distance are preferred. Responsibilities Phlebotomy certification required Must speak and read English Basic computer knowledge required EMR/EHR experience preferred, Will train Friendly and professional attitude Ability to work independently in a small office setting Friendly and professional Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits. Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision. Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments Collect specimens for laboratory testing, perform phlebotomy when required, and handle specimen labeling and documentation accurately. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring all patient information is current, complete, and compliant with privacy standards. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions Support medical documentation efforts by recording medical histories, updating records, and coding diagnoses using ICD coding standards. Assist with medication administration under supervision Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology with familiarity in EMR/EHR systems management. Proficiency in performing phlebotomy techniques and collecting specimens for diagnostic testing. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations while demonstrating excellent patient service skills. Knowledge of medical assisting procedures including vital signs measurement, intake assessments, and basic life support (BLS). Competence in medical office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and handling administrative duties efficiently. Experience with small independent practices, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance plans, credentialing, and denial management is preferred but willing to train the person eager to learn.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
