The ideal candidate will have experience in both clinical and administrative support within a medical setting. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient clinic, particularly in a fast-paced environment such as a Level I or Level II Trauma Center. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals, managing patient interactions, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with minor procedures. Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance verifications. Assist in X-Ray procedures and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment to promote patient safety and comfort. Support dermatology procedures by preparing necessary equipment and materials. Collaborate with healthcare providers in emergency medicine situations to provide timely care to patients. Document patient information accurately in electronic health record systems. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic or trauma center is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, especially related to dermatology and emergency medicine. Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic clinical procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with patients and team members.
