Primary Care Pay:

$17-$19/hr

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 7:15am-3:45pm. No weekends, no evenings! Benefits (once hired-on as a permanent employee): Full benefits with medical, dental, vision, retirement plan with employee match, and quarterly bonuses based on performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks; checks in patients, assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assists with medical examinations. Performs routine specialized procedures such as EKG, FBS, suture/staple removal, ear irrigation, nebulizer treatments, and sterile dressing changes etal. Maintains inventories and stocks medicines, vaccines, immunizations and medical supplies as necessary. Maintains knowledge and expertise pertaining to OSHA and CLIA standards. Develops and maintains an effective and informative training program for all staff members on OSHA, CLIA, Biohazard Waste, and Safety. Records/Monitors refrigerator temperature and controls on all lab equipment/tests. Interviews and reviews patients for financial status, as appropriate. Educates and advises patients on specified medical issues as directed by the provider. Performs patient education and discharge instructions. Completes referrals and schedules tests for patients. Retrieves lab reports and tests from other health care providers. Assists the clinical coordinator with additional tasks. Schedules and monitors patient appointments; may coordinate routine office activities and administrative functions in support of unit activities. Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods. Do prior- authorizations, phone messages, and special projects.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Medical Assistant Certification required (national or state) At least 2 years' experience preferred. Prior experience with Immunizations highly preferred. BLS certification within 90 days of employment. Must have and maintain vehicle insurance. Must be vaccinated for
